Dr. Vikram Patil is a skilled Structural and Interventional Cardiologist with a passion for advancing complex cardiac care. following specialized training in Structural Heart Interventions, TAVI, and Complex PCI from NHS England, UK. With over a decade of dedicated experience in tertiary cardiac centers, Dr. Patil brings a fine blend of clinical precision, patient-centric care, and global exposure to every case he manages.
He completed his DM Cardiology with distinction from MS Ramaiah Medical College, where he was also awarded Best Outgoing Student. His academic path includes an MD from KS Hegde Medical Academy and MBBS from JNMC, Belgium, with consistent top honors across the board.
Prior to his international fellowship, Dr. Patil worked at Jayadeva Hospital, Bengaluru, where he gained significant expertise in adult congenital heart disease, advanced echocardiography, TTE/TEE, and heart failure management. His procedural repertoire includes a wide range of interventional techniques such as TAVI, MitraClip, TMVR, tricuspid interventions, and rotablation. Notably, he was the first in India to introduce excimer laser for acute MI and new subtypes of mitral stenosis.
Beyond the cath lab, Dr. Patil is deeply committed to community outreach and teaching. He has led over 30 rural cardiac camps, trained future cardiologists, and coordinated major World Heart Day events across South India. His interests extend into clinical innovation, digital health, and structural heart disease education.
