He completed his MS from and was Assistant Professor of Surgery at KMC Manipal and MMC Mysore.

He underwent super specialty training in Gastrointestinal surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.

He was actively involved in Liver transplant program there and then visited Asan medical center, Seoul to further his knowledge in Liver transplantation.

He has been part of 300+ liver transplants.

He is actively involved in research activities and has many publications in national/ international journals to his credit.

He has participated and presented in several national/ international conferences on Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver transplantation.

Academics & Training Exposure

  • He was part of active liver transplant program at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
  • During the training tenure of 3 years, 192 liver transplants were performed in the department (4 cadaveric and 188 living donation).
  • Was trained in performing all the major and complex GI surgical procedures- including pancreatic/ liver resections and shunt procedures, oncologic procedures.
  • Asan medical center, Seoul on International Visiting Scholar program for 2 months in the department of HPB & Liver transplantation under Prof SG Lee.
